1) Learning that I may just have super powers ha ha. LOVE IT (note the heavy sarcasm) when I have to get Joey to scouts early because they are CPR certifying, Alex to a Bishopric interview and then go to a parents meeting up at Castlerock for Lissie's 8th grade DC trip. All at 6:30! Can't divide and conquer because Shon was called back into work for a meeting. Somehow, I managed to get the boys dropped off, (I even stopped the car...well, does a slow roll count?) and got to CR on time without speeding okay, only speeding a little bit. I would like my cape to be black please....maybe with a skull on it. (just for you Joan. loll)
2) The Internet. I love being able to connect with friends, blog hop, surf, renew books online, connect with the kid's schools etc. I am amazed at how far it has come since my 7th grade class where they introduced us to something amazing called "email". It was on an Apple with a black screen and the cursor and all the writing was in green...how do people think of these things?
3) The perfection of a flower. I am looking at a carnation from the bouquet Shon bought me. It feeds my soul with it's beauty and it feeds my testimony with it's detail. How could I not believe in a Heavenly Father and Mother when I look at such things? Not just a utilitarian world to sustain our physical needs, but a beautiful world to sustain our souls and remind our what we have waiting for us in the celetial kingdom.

1) So very grateful for Kate and her willingness to stay with our kids. I know that they will be happy, safe and have fun while we are gone. I can't wait to get away and have a little bit of downtime. I am almost afraid to breathe until we are on the road.
2) Alex took his pre-testing for the GED today. We are all ready to move on and let him be able to get his college classes started. It has been hard to wait for the age requirement.
3) Hmmm, not so glad the weather got cold and rainy, but happy that the rain made the deer poop "moosh" into the lawn so that it doesn't look like a chocolate jelly bean factory exploded anymore. I don't know how (and don't want to) but somehow it just absorbed. loll

1)Glad to remember what is important about Easter and hear how the kids feel about Christ. They always have a fun perspective. Every one's testimony is personal, and each relationship with Jesus is unique...but I can not imagine life without knowing that He know who I am, what I can be and where I am going.
2)That being said, it is also great to have a little bit of fun on Easter day with a few treats. We always wait until after church, because we would like the kids to remember that Easter isn't really about a bunny. This year I was sick...in bed for days kind of sick...which sucked, but it also gave me a chance for laughter. Pure joyful type, not sarcastic over the way that Shon and I do things differently. Shon and I had shopped for baskets before I got sick and on Sunday Shon-O brought the basket stuff to our room so I could help. Here is how it went,
K-Did you find everything?
S-Yep all taken care of. :-)
K-Did you find baskets for them?
S-Don't need them, I have something else (pulls 3 Big Lots bags and a Wal-Mart bag out of his pocket and proceeds to start dumping stuff into them.)
K-(laughing) uhm, what about the eggs?
S-Don't need them, I'll just put the candy in the bags...
Kids-Yay!
Lesson learned? I have my way of doing things and Shon has his way of doing things...and they are both okay. Everybody was happy.
3)Even though we don't do much, Shon and I still enjoy getting each other a little something on Easter. I am not a clothes horse, so I don't do the Easter dress thing, but Shon treated me to fresh flowers and my favorite chocolates. He picked out white chocolate and some little plane parts. Not much, not expensive, (which is good) but it makes me feel special to know he is thinking of me.
Happy Easter. Life is sweet.

1) The sunshine in the trees in outside my bedroom window. I can't be outside in it, but it is so beautiful and it makes me feel like I am in a treehouse.
2) Even though I am stuck in bed sick, I am glad that Shon is in town and I don't worry about running anyone anywhere or worry that they aren't getting enough attention.
3) Orange juice with ice in it.

1)I love, love, love the fact that my kids are out of school for the next 5 days!
2)Whoo hoo we get to sleep in tomorrow morning...I tell ya, early morning seminary is an act of obedience and faith for the parents as well as the teens.
3)I have a new book to start and since I have a cold, I am going to be lazy and get back in bed for a while tomorrow and read.

1) Enjoyed teaching at National Camp School with Shon and some other amazing teachers. I love that we both love Scouting so much and can do it together.
2) Glad that Joey was able to go with Shon on his trip this weekend.
3) Amazed, humbled and grateful that we have a living prophet here on the earth today. I know that he is a man of God and that we have a rock for our foundation and a rod to hold onto in a turbulent world.
