2/26/09

This blog is inspired by Colett's gratitude journal. Sometimes it is really easy to get overwhelmed and I want to keep it all in perspective. I want to be realistic though and keep it simple, looking for small silver linings without being goopy. Okay, not goopy more than once in a while. :-)
The obvious things won't be stated. Duh, I love my husband and kids. Doubtless I am thankful for the specifics like the gospel and a prophet, a house overhead and a car to drive. My papa used to call me Buttercup, because they were my favorite flower when I was little, along with daffodils. We would joke around and he would make me laugh by saying "Merci beaucoup Buttercup" whenever I would do something for him. It means "Thank you very much" in french. I don't think he ever spoke any other french, but that one was fun.

My silver linings today are:
1)Memories of my papa
2)The ability to write these stories down
3)Pretty paper
